This summer, AC Sandhills wanted to revamp the way we do camps. Although we will still be offering and supporting our normal Basic Camps, we are excited to offer players new opportunities to work on their skills in a multitude of different ways.
With the addition of our All Day Camp, Speed & Conditioning workouts, Team Camps, and the specific Positional Camps, we think that this years series will be our best and most beneficial for soccer players in our region.

GKONE is one of the premier goalkeeper training groups in the country. Created by and
instructed by Phil Wheddon, US National Team Assistant / Goalkeeper Coach, GKONE
tours around the region hosting camps, and training for keepers of all ages. |

AC Sandhills Basic Soccer Camps: (Morganton Rd. Soccer Complex (1) / Cannon Park (2&3), Southern Pines / Pinehurst, NC)
The ACS Basic Camps are for Recreation Level Players looking to have fun and learn new skills for their game. In these camps, ACS Coaching Staff will instruct players on the basic points of soccer with fun and exciting activities for ages U6-U12. The camp locations will be as follows: Basic Camp 1 - Morganton Rd. Soccer Complex in Southern Pines, and Basic Camp 2&3 - Cannon Park in Pinehurst, NC. |

AC Sandhills Day Camp: (Location TBA, Southern Pines or Pinehurst, NC)
The ACS Day Camp is an offer we are bringing back from the past. For ages U8-U13, this camp offers players a chance to experience a full day of camp, fun and soccer. Instructed by ACS Staff Coaches, the Day Camp will run from 9am-3pm. Players must provide their own lunch, and make sure they are ready to spend the day with ACS! |

ACS Midfielder & Striker Camp: (Pinecrest High School, Southern Pines, NC)
First touch & receiving, 1v1 Attack & Dribbling, Passing weight and accuracy, Unbalancing runs, heading to goal, runs in the penalty area, final pass, finishing & free kicks, seeing the field, receiving balls back to pressure, combination play.
The Main Instructors for these two camps, with help from ACS Staff Coaches will be:

AC Sandhills Club Team Camp: (Morning Location TBA, Night Session @ Morganton Rd. Soccer Complex, Southern Pines, NC)
The team camp is another new offer from AC Sandhills in 2012. With the premise of the camp being on team building, both from a bonding and soccer standpoint, we are very excited about this opportunity. This camp is open to teams, ages U11-U14, and will be run in two parts.
Part 1 (Morning Session) - This part will be totally based on team bonding. Activities will be related to teamwork, trust and bringing players together as a group. Most of the activities in this portion will be non-soccer related.
Part 2 (Evening Session) - The evening session will focus on the team from the soccer aspect. This will be held at Morganton Rd. Soccer Complex, and will have outside instructors working with your teams through drills and tactics to help your squads grow on the pitch together.
The main Non-AC Sandhills Instructors for this camp will be:

ACS Speed & Conditioning Camps: (Wicker Park, Pinehurst, NC)
The ACS Speed & Conditioning Camps are being offered to help players increase mobility, speed and strength through instructed drills and activities provided by a trained specialist. We have inlisted the assistance of Rodney Tolentino, who has an extensive background in personal training and conditioning, with the focus of making your players better off the ball. |

Specialty Camp - "Striking the Ball": (Morganton Rd. Soccer Complex, Southern Pines, NC) (Sunday's evening sessions will be as follows: Group 3 - 1:00pm & Group 4 - 2:30pm)
Introduction to new techniques of striking the ball that gives you more efficient results as far as playing faster (ball speed), moving faster (footwork), scoring more goals (ball trajectory). This three day camp is held once a day for 75 minutes a group based on the physical demand of the core muscles, and the focus on continual reps. This camp is a first come/first serve camp as we will only be accepting 12 players per group for instruction purposes.
The camp will be instructed by Erwan Le Crom, who comes to us from the Richmond Strikers Soccer Club in Richmond, VA where he is currently the Director of Players Development Academy for the Richmond Strikers U16 and U18 Academy. Below is Coach Le Crom's soccer/education background:
