AC Sandhills U7/U8 Advanced Development Program is a training opportunity offered in
many clubs around the country. The philosophy behind the program is to allow players
and parents to experience a higher level of training before making the jump to travel
soccer.
With the new structure of the ACS travel program, in upcoming years, you will see us
start travel soccer at the age of U9. It is with the U7/U8 ADP that the club will be able to
evaluate players earlier and identify more development needs.
Information:
• ADP Players are determined by a pre-season evaluation process
• U7/U8 ADP is for true U7/U8 Players only. (unless approved by coaching staff)
• The program will run the same length as the Recreation Soccer Season
• There will be two (2) practices a week
• The player pools will be instructed by AC Sandhills Staff Coaches
• Saturday games will be coached by volunteer parent coaches, but will be
observed by the ACS staff coaches
• Players will play 4v4 with no goalies in the Fall
• Teams in the fall will be divided equally by skill level
• Players will play in regular Recreation League in the Spring
• Overall pool sizes will be maxed out at 35 players for each boys and girls
• The U7/U8 ADP is a full year program
• The cost of the ADP Program is $200.00 per player
There will be another evaluation period in May and August.
