Welcome to AC Sandhills

Volunteer Coaches

                                                                            Become a Coach today!

AC Sandhills Recreation Soccer would not exist without its Volunteer Coaches. Thanks to the hours dedicated to spreading the knowledge of and love for soccer. It is our Coaches who are able to provide a positive experience for our recreation players. We truly appreciate everything our coaches do for the players in our organization!

We are always looking for more Coaches, our seasons start in August for the Fall Rec Season and February for the Spring Rec Season. No experience required, we need people who can commit to be there for our players. To parents thinking about Coaching, you are going to be at every practice watching anyways, its a lot more fun to be involved.

To volunteer contact the Rec Coordinator,

Different Sources of Coaching Education:
Digital Coaching Center (DCC) - US Soccer Federation Courses (USSF)
The Digital Coaching Center, DCC, is a great resource to use to further your education in the sport of soccer.  This is a online educational platform, created by USSF, which allows coaches to create a personal profile, register for courses, communicate with technical staff, take part in online courses, create session plans with an online graphics tool, access an archive of U.S. Soccer training sessions and much more.

National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)
The NSCAA offers comprehensive yet focused courses for all levels of coaching.
Our staff coaches approach all participants in NSCAA Coaching Education programs as colleagues with whom we share the coaching journey. Collegiality and mutual, lifelong learning underpin all we do in our coaching education. Our mission is to help our fellow coaches grow and develop in a positive and professional manner in each and every course we teach.

United States Youth Soccer (USYS)
US Youth Soccer (USYS) is a non-profit and educational organization whose mission is to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition. Our job is also to make it fun, and instill in young players a lifelong passion for the sport.

North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA)
NCYSA is AC Sandhills' state governing association.
NCYSA was founded in 1976, and is the governing body of youth soccer for US Youth Soccer.  NCYSA offers play for every level of play: Recreation, Challenge, Classic, NC Youth Academy, Olympic Development, Region III Premier League and US Youth Soccer National League.  There are more than 74,000 children playing with NCYSA and thousands of other coaches, administrators and volunteers!
